Bees abandon Ramsay move
Brentford boss Wally Downes has decided against pursuing his interest in signing Eastbourne Borough striker Scott Ramsay.

The Bees were considering a move for the 22-year-old, but have not been impressed by the player's reluctance to join the Griffin Park outfit.

"Ramsay has been quoted as saying that he is happy in non-league football with Eastbourne and in the end we have decided to look for a more experienced forward," Downes told the Brentford, Chiswick & Isleworth Times newspaper.

Ramsay, once on the books at Brighton, was in good from for Eastbourne last season, scoring more than 30 goals.
