Villa's Sutton out for six weeks
Aston Villa striker Chris Sutton
Sutton now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines
Aston Villa striker Chris Sutton has been ruled out for six weeks with concussion and blurred vision.

The 33-year-old was substituted during the second half of the Barclays Premiership game with Manchester United on 23 December.

Sutton has since seen a specialist and will be out until at least February.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill said: "The prognosis is that things will get better but while he has got blurred vision he can't play."

He must now decide whether to step up his search for re-inforcements in the January transfer window.
