Thierry Henry has challenged his young Arsenal team-mates to pull their weight and not expect him to carry the team.
Henry has issued a challenge to his team-mates
The 29-year-old striker told the News of the World: "I don't want everyone to expect me to do all the hard work.
"I often say to my team-mates: 'Don't watch me as if I'm going to pull off a miracle, it can't happen all the time'.
"I have to say to the younger guys: 'I need you as much as you need me. Don't just expect me to do the hard stuff, do your bit!'"
Henry claimed there was a contrast between the attitudes of the younger players at Arsenal and those in his French national squad.
He said: "When I go on international duty, even if some of my team-mates are younger than me they already know the ins and outs of the trade.
"It is different at Arsenal. They arrive in London and we put them up in a great apartment and all day they walk around saying 'Wow'.
"My role is to make them understand they have the talent but they need to do the hard work."
