Cairney in at Arbroath
Former Stenhousemuir and Brechin City captain Harry Cairney has been been named as the new manager of Arbroath.

Steve Kirk resigned as manager of the Second Division's bottom club after a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Forfar Athletic last month.

Cairney's first game in charge is on Saturday against his old club Brechin City at Glebe Park.

The former Annan Athletic boss said: "We've a lot of hard work ahead and we have to start straight away."
