Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman has said low attendances at the Crown Ground have hindered the club's attempts to sign new players.

"It's unlikely we're going to be able to afford to bring anybody in," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know the gates haven't been enough to support bringing other players in."

Accrington currently lie in 15th place in League Two.

I just want us to be assured of our place in the Football League next season

They play promotion-hopefuls Chesterfield on Saturday, and Coleman says he is determined to win every game:

"I want to compete and I want to be in the top-half of the table.

"I don't want the season to end now because there's still a lot of points to play for and just want us to be assured of our place in the Football League next season," he added.
