BBC and SPL reach radio agreement
SPL chairman Lex Gold (left) and chief executive Roger Mitchell
SPL chiefs worked hard to agree a deal
BBC Scotland has come to an arrangement with the Scottish Premier League clubs to provide live radio and online commentaries this weekend.

The clubs had failed to agree a deal with broadcasters for the start of the season, but a temporary resolution has been reached.

Negotiations will continue next week and BBC Scotland officials are optimistic that a deal will be concluded then.

Aberdeen's home match with Celtic will be the featured game on BBC Radio Scotland, while all six games will be available on line at BBC Sport Online and BBC SportScotland.
