Queen of South 1-0 Ross County


Queen of the South recorded their third consecutive win with a narrow victory over Ross County at Palmerston.

The visitors came close to breaking the deadlock after 31 minutes when David Hutton saved Richard Brittain's shot.

But Queens came roaring back and took the lead when Joseph Hamill's cross found William McLaren and he slotted home from close range.

Iain Vigurs threatened and Stuart Kettlewell's header struck the bar as County failed to find an equaliser.

Queen of South: Hutton, Reid, Lilley, McAusland, Harris, Burns (Hamill 21), McMillan, Adams (Weatherston 63), McLaren, Quinn, Holmes (O'Connor 35). Subs Not Used: Fox, Kean.
