East Stirlingshire brought their record-breaking run of 25 straight defeats to an end with a deserved win.

Shire have Elgin defender Hugh Dickson to thank for the points as his diving header past his own keeper in the 48th minute proved decisive.

Alex Bone crossed for Willie Martin to fire Elgin in front from the edge of the six-yard box in the 23rd minute.

But 13 minutes later the home team were level when Derek Ure shot low past Elgin keeper Martin Pirie.
