Challenge Cup final rescheduled for 10 April

ALBA Challenge Cup

The ALBA Challenge Cup final between Queen of the South and Ross County will now be played on Sunday 10 April.

They had originally been due to meet at McDiarmid Park, Perth, on 28 November, but the match was postponed because of icy weather.

Kick-off for the game between the two Division One sides will be 1500 BST.

Tickets bought for the original game remain valid, but more remain available for the final to be played at the home of St Johnstone.

County will go into the game with a new manager after the Dingwall club replaced Willie McStay with Jimmy Calderwood with their side sitting second bottom of the table.

Queens have slipped 15 points behind leaders Raith Rovers, but the Dumfries outfit have four games in hand.

One of those is against their Challenge Cup final opponents, the match at Queens' Palmerston Park now being rescheduled for Tuesday 19 April.

That match was first postponed on 22 January, abandoned after 65 minutes with the score at 1-1 on 1 February, then postponed again this Tuesday.
