Raith Rovers eased into the second round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup after a penalty shoot-out.

Neither side could break the deadlock after 120 minutes at Cliftonhill.

Raith striker Graham Weir missed a penalty after 22 minutes when Alan Reid was adjudged to have fouled Gareth Wardlaw inside the box.

Ian Davidson was sent off for the visitors after 80 minutes. Raith keeper David McGurn saved two penalties before Wardlaw fired home the winning kick.

Albion: Scott, Reid, McGowan, Robert Walker, Hughes, Ferry, Barr, Donnelly, William Martin (Mckenna 90), Coyne (Pollock 69), Smith (Patrick Walker 76). Subs Not Used: McGoldrick, Mitchell.
