Shea Campbell of Ballymena United
Ballymena's Shea Campbell is on loan to Armagh City
Irish Premier League champions Linfield have agreed terms to sign striker Shea Campbell from Ballymena United.

The 23-year-old forward is currently on-loan with First Division pacesetters Armagh City and may not be available to the Blues until after 20 January.

Linfield boss David Jeffrey's interest in Campbell had been known for some time and his capture should strengthen the champions' title aspirations.

On Saturday they beat Loughgall 4-0 to move into second place in the table.

It left them three points behind leaders Glentoran whose game at home to Ballymena was postponed.

Linfield have also confirmed the signing of midfielder Tim Mouncey from Lisburn Distillery.

"He is a strong and athletic player with a good attitude," said Linfield manager David Jeffrey.

"He is an ambitious player and is keen to perform on a bigger stage. I look forward to welcoming him at Windsor Park."
