David Jeffrey signs CHarnock on a new one-year deal
Midfielder Phil Charnock has signed a new one-year contract with Linfield who announced a new sponsorship deal with sportswear company Umbro.

The talented Charnock missed most of last season due to a knee injury but is now back in full training.

''William Murphy and David Larmour successfully returned following similar cruciate ligament injury,'' said Blues boss David Jeffrey.

''Phil's fitness is improving and we expect him back by September.''

Jeffrey also spoke of the new clothing deal which will put his team in a different light next season.

"The sponsorship agreement is fantastic news for the Club and the fans," said Linfield manager David Jeffrey.

"The quality of the product matches the professional attitude of the players and staff."

Linfield's away kit will go on sale at midnight on 28 June as the clubs embarks on a huge party for their fans to celebrate the title triumph.

The Blues will start their pre-season programme with a friendly away to Amateur League champions Killyleagh YC on 3 July.

They will also face the Eircom League champions Shelbourne on Monday 3 August at Windsor Park for Pat McShane's testimonial.
