Walsall 1-3 Scunthorpe

Gary Hooper scored twice to fire Scunthorpe into the second round of the FA Cup with a fine win away to Walsall.

Michael Ricketts gave the hosts the lead with a sweet side-footed finish past the helpless Joe Murphy.

Just before half-time Scunthorpe hit back with Hooper picking up Paul Hayes' pass and firing in from a tight angle.

Hooper scored again after a clever pass from Martyn Woolford, Walsall's Ishmael Demontagnac was sent off and Kevan Hurst's rasping shot sealed the win.
