Rotherham 3-1 Chester

Troubled Rotherham eased past Chester to secure their third straight win.

The Millers led after 58 seconds when Alex Rhodes' free-kick was headed back across goal by Drewe Broughton and Ian Sharps drove the ball home.

Rotherham doubled their advantage on 14 minutes when the ball flew in following a fortunate rebound off Reuben Reid.

Kevin Ellison shot home for Chester's first goal of the season to make it 2-1 but Rotherham sealed the scoring when Rhodes shot home after a flowing move.

Chester City manager Simon Davies told BBC Radio Merseyside:

"We do our homework on teams and we put a team out to win that specific game.

"We've worked all week on turning teams, defending properly, being honest, staying with runners and within a minute we let ourselves down.

"They're professional footballers and some of them have got to realise that now and stand up and be counted, we've got to be men about it and not boys."
