Charlton missed the chance to pile the pressure on League One's top two as they drew with 10-man Walsall.

The hosts opened the scoring when top scorer Troy Deeney headed home a cross from teenager Darryl Westlake.

The Addicks levelled from the spot when Jamie Vincent was harshly ruled to have brought down Akpo Sodje, Dean Burton hammering home the penalty.

Deeney then saw red with 13 minutes left for something he said to the referee, but Charlton failed to rally.
