Wolves ended the season in style with a win over Sheffield United which took their unbeaten run to 18 matches.
Joleon Lescott fired Wolves ahead from close range, only for Alan Quinn to volley the Blades level.
Leon Clarke restored Wolves' lead but Sheffield fought back and Andy Gray levelled before half time.
Kenny Miller set up substitute Kevin Cooper to put Wolves ahead again, before Miller rounded off the scoring himself from Clarke's low cross.
Lescott gave Wolves the lead on 12 minutes.
The Wolves defender stayed forward after the Blades failed to deal convincingly with a set-piece and when Seol Ki-Hyeon's shot was parried by keeper Paddy Kenny, Lescott reacted first to finish from close range.
Wolves' lead lasted less than a minute.
The Blades built down the right and Phil Jagielka found Quinn whose rising drive from 20 yards was too good for Michael Oakes.
The Blades pushed on and after Nick Montgomery was denied by Oakes' sharp save Jagielka saw his curling shot from 25 yards cannon back off the bar.
Wolves restored their lead a minute later when youngster Clarke showed a cool head to slot home after Miller's pass unpicked the Blades defence.
Clarke saw another effort from a narrow angle saved by Kenny.
But United got themselves back on level terms when Danny Webber - in his last game on loan from Watford - picked out Gray who was allowed time to measure his left-foot shot across Oakes.
Miller should have restored Wolves' lead before half time but he contrived to somehow fire wide from 12 yards with only Kenny to beat.
Miller partly atoned ten minutes into the second half when his pass found half-time substitute Cooper who squeezed a shot in at the near post past Kenny.
Miller's rehabilitation was complete five minutes later when Clarke burst clear on the left and pulled the ball back for the Scotland international to bury a first-time shot past Kenny.
Wolves' boss Glenn Hoddle:
"I hope the new contract will be sorted out by the end of next week, it won't drag on.
"The run is the product of good work over the last few months, but it came a little too late.
"We probably drew too many games in that run, but the foundations are there for next season."
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock:
"I think that performance typified our whole campaign," he said. "We've got some good players but we haven't got enough experience.
"That will be my brief in the summer - to bring in experience and quality.
"If there had been one or two of their players on our team we would have gone on and won the game."
