Blue Square Premier bottom club Droylsden fought valiantly to hold Rushden & Diamonds to a goalless draw at Nene Park.

The first chance of the game fell to the visitors but home goalkeeper Dale Roberts saved Chris Denham's effort.

Conal Platt fired an effort wide of the left-hand upright for the Diamonds before Chris Hope managed to block Terry Fearns' effort for Droylsden.

Ged Murphy had a late strike blocked by home defender Chris Hope.
