Deportivo La Coruna 2-2 Juventus

Juventus battled back from 2-0 down to earn a share of the spoils in this Champions League Group D clash in Spain.

Diego Tristan and Roy Makaay gave the home side a healthy lead inside the first 11 minutes.

Tristan beat Alessandro Birindelli to the ball to head home the first after nine minutes.

And then Makaay met Joan Capdevila's cross at the near post to double the advantage just two minutes later.

The goal was the Dutchman's eighth in seven Champions League matches this season.

Birindelli reduced the deficit seven minutes before half-time when he unleashed a rising shot from outside the area.

And after Juventus had been denied a penalty on 50 minutes when Alessandro Del Piero was upended by Enrique Romero, Pavel Nedved fired home the equaliser seven minutes later.

Deportivo had several chances to get back in front, with second half substitute Alberto Luque going close late on, but Juventus held on for a point.
