Swiss side Sion have reached an agreement to sign Mali international striker Mohamed Traore from June.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Tunisian side Club Africain, agreed a four-year contract with the Swiss top-flight side.
This means he will stay at the club until June 2015.
Traore was linked with several European clubs as well as Egyptian giants Al Ahly but he opted for Sion.
"FC Sion have secured the services of young Mali international Mohamed Traore for the next four seasons," Sion said in a statement.
"He was courted by several clubs in France and Germany but he chose Sion.
"He will join his new club in June from Club Africain of Tunis."
Traore joined Club Africain in July 2009 and has been an instrumental player for the Tunisian giants during the 2009 summer transfer window.
He will stay with the Tunisian champions for another six months.
Sion are seeking to win the Swiss league title and prepare for next season's Champions League.
They are currently fourth on the league table.
