1854: Full-time. Egypt 2-1 Senegal Egypt manage to qualify for the final of the African Cup of Nations but the refusal of the referee to award a clear penalty to Senegal in the dying minutes of the game is certain to provoke comment.

1853: Senegal's Issa Ba, who came on for Omar Daf, misses a close-range strike.

1849: Senegal's Diomansy Camara is brought down in the Egyptian box by Ibrahim Said for what appears to be a penalty. But the Cameroonian referee Divine Evehe refuses to point to the spot.

1847: Emad Moteab's half-volley in the Senegalese box sails over the Senegalese bar.

1844: Amr Zaki nearly scores what would have been a definate winner for Egypt but the Senegalese clear out the ball of a congested box. His introduction into the game is a masterstroke by Egypt coach Shehata.

1839: GOAL. Egypt 2-1 Senegal
Amr Zaki, in his first touch, nods in a powerful header off a left wing cross from Mohammed Aboutrika. The goal justifies the decision of Shehata to bring Zaki on.

1837: Egypt's 'Mido' is ordered to come off by Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who brings in Amr Zaki. But Mido does not leave the pitch without having a hot exchange of words with the coach and has to be pacified by team-mate Hossam Hassan.

1835: Egypt's Mohamed Barakat continues to threaten Senegal on the right flank, hitting a long-range shot

1831: Senegal's Soulemane Diawara brings down Mohammed Shawky, earning Egypt a corner kick. But Tony Sylva catches the ball in flight.

1826: Senegal, who continue to put the pressure on Egypt, win another corner. The effort by Diomansy Kamara nearly crosses the Egyptian line.

1824: El Hadji Diouf finally comes in for Senegal, replacing Henri Camara, who looks disappointed to be coming off.

1823: Egypt's Mido misses a close range header, after latching on to a well-timed cross from the right flank.

1820: Egypt's Mohamed Barakat makes a runs down the right side, forcing Senegal keeper Tony Sylva to rush out and make a hasty clearance.

1817: Senegal win a free kick on the edge of the box, with Pape Bouba Diop's header - off Frederic Mendy's effort - just missing the Egyptian post.

1816: Senegal's El Hadji Diouf prepares to join the action, as he warms up on the sidelines.

1812: Senegal's Henri Camara falls in the Egyptian box but the referee waves play on, after ruling that defender Wael Gomaa's challenge is legal.

Mamadou Niang receives a long cross from Lamine Diatta and outjumps Ahmed El Saka in the box to head home from close range.

1808: Egypt's Mohamed Aboutrika curls a shot from the left flank that hits the left side of the Senegalese post, forcing Tony Sylva to make a desperate save.

1806: Egypt's Ibrahim Said clears the ball out of the penalty area.

1804: Second half begins with Egypt winning a free kick, which is not put to good use.

1747: Half-time. Egypt 1-0 Senegal
Egypt lead in what has been a tough encounter between the two teams. Senegal, who still have a chance of coming back into the game, will be ruing Frederic Mendy's unforced error that handed Egypt a desperately needed penalty.

1746: Kamara, who continues to threaten for Senegal, wins a free kick on the edge of the Egyptian box but his effort goes across the goal. Two minutes of stoppage time are added.

1743: Senegal's Diomansy Kamara latches onto to a pass from midfield and tries a half-volley from close range. But he is surrounded by three Egyptian players, who block his effort.

1741: Senegal coach Abdoulaye Sarr maintains his composure, despite his team going behind.

1736: GOAL. Egypt 1-0 Senegal
Ahmed Hassan successfully retakes the kick to put the host nation into the lead. It is his fourth goal of the tournament.

1735: Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan converts the effort but is forced to retake the kick after the referee spots an infringement.

1734: Egypt wins a penalty after Senegal's Frederic Mendy punches the ball out of the six-yard box.

1733: Senegal win their first corner kick of the game but a free Henri Camara is unable to control his header.

1730: Senegal keeper Tony Sylva rushes to the edge of the box to clear a ball at the feet of Egypt's Mido.

1728: Egypt's Emad Moteab appeals for a penalty when he falls in the Senegalese box but the referee waves play on.

1726: Egypt's Ahmed El Saka recieves a yellow card for a foul on Amdy Faye, whose free kick on the edge of the box misses the post by inches.

1722: Egypt's Emad Moteab recieves a through pass on the right flank but his close-range effort hits the side netting.

1719: Egypt's Mohammed Abdelwahab takes a free kick on the left side of the Senegalese box, with the effort causing commotion in Senegal's defence, before it is desperately cleared out.

1717: Egypt goalkeeper Essam El Hadary is forced to rush out of his post to kick the ball out of danger, after Senegal's Amdy Faye runs past the Egyptian defenders and is about to put himself in a close-range shooting position.

1713: Egypt's Mido makes a run at the Senegalese goal but is ruled offiside.

1711: Senegal defender Pape Malick Diakhite yells at his colleagues to provide better cover for their goalkeeper, who is left exposed to the Egyptian forwards.

1708: Senegal concedes a corner kick after goalkeeper Tony Sylva catches the ball over the line. The resultant effort from Mohammed Abdelwahab connects with the head of Wael Gomaa, whose effort goes wide.

1705: Senegal's Henri Camara tried to make a run through the left side of Egypt's defence but the ball is cleared out of danger.

1700: Match kicks off, with over 70,000 fans in support of the Egyptian team at the Cairo international stadium.

Striker Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam returns for Egypt, with 39-year-old Hossam Hassan dropping to the bench, as part of three changes made by coach Hassan Shehata.

Mohamed Aboutrika, back after a ban, and Mohamed Abdel Wahab are the other new faces in the Pharoahs squad.

Senegal boss Abdoulaye Sarr makes two changes, bringing in Malickou Diakhate for Ferdinand Coly and Mamadou Niang for Souleymane Camara after Niang's goal against Guinea. Defender Lamine Diatta replaces Coly as captain.
