Grobbelaar resigns
Former Zimbabwe goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar
Grobbelaar has struggled to impress as a coach
Bruce Grobbelaar has lost his second coaching job in South Africa's premier league this season.

This follows confirmation on Friday from Umtata Bush Bucks that they have asked the former Zimbabwe goalkeeper to resign.

Grobbelaar departs after a run of poor form by the struggling club who are bottom of the 16-team league.

Umtata are now in danger of making a swift return to the first division just one season after winning promotion.

The 47-year-old, who was born in South Africa, had only been at Bush Bucks since November.

He won his first two matches in charge but the winning touch deserted him.

His side managed just one more victory in their next nine league matches.

In October, Grobbelaar was fired after just one win from five matches in charge of the Durban club Manning Rangers.

Grobbelaar's return to Rangers in July came after a two-year hiatus when he had been working on an anti-malaria campaign across the southern African region.

He has taken charge of five South African clubs since beginning his coaching career in the country in 1999.

He is also a former national coach of Zimbabwe.

Grobbelaar won six league titles and three FA Cups in his playing career with Liverpool, and was the first African international to win the European Cup in 1984.
