Guinea 1-1 Rwanda

Karim Kamanzi snatched Rwanda's first-ever Cup of Nations point with a goal deep into stoppage time.

Kamanzi bundled a shot through a crowd of players after Guinea failed to clear from a string of corners.

Guinea bossed the game but only had a Titi Camara goal to show for their efforts, the striker racing clear of a flat defence and firing in a low shot.

Souleymane Youla should have made the win safe, but hit the post after a dazzling solo run.

Veteran striker Camara appeared to have sealed victory for Guinea with his goal three minutes into the second half.

His left-foot shot followed a world-class pass from the impressive Pascal Feindouno and was a huge relief for the striker after he had squandered a number of chances.

It took his tally in these finals to two goals and moved him alongside South Africa's Nomvete and Kanoute of Mali.

Guinea dominated the game and Youla wasted the clearest of chances when he rounded the keeper and then remarkably struck the post when it seemed easier to score.

Kamanzi punished the misses in dramatic style and Rwanda's players admitted they could not believe their luck.

Speaking in the tunnel to BBC Sport, second-half substitute Desire Mbonanbucya said: "I am happy for the draw and this is Rwanda's first-ever point in the Cup of Nations finals."

The result means both sides still have a stake in the competition and Mbonanbucya added: "The draw has boosted our morale for our next encounter against DR Congo.

"We consider that game as a derby match."
