By Caroline Cheese

2144: Jonathan Stevenson returns tomorrow for all the drama at the Camp Nou. It should be a treat. The match, I mean, not Stevo's return... Not that Stevo's return won't be a treat... anyway, see you soon!

Football League Danny: "League Two full-times. Darlington 0-5 Notts County. A truly "five-star" performance means there is "notts" any doubt about who the title winners are. Elsewhere, Accrington 1-0 Barnet. Bees stay in relegation danger - they are away to fellow strugglers Grimsby on Saturday in a match of thundering importance to both teams..."

2140: Bayern's players have got their Champions League final T-shirts on and are off to celebrate with the visiting fans in Lyon... Meanwhile, Infostrada Sports reckon Bayern's aggregate win of 4-0 equals the biggest aggregate score in the Champions League semi-finals. In 1996/1997, Juventus beat Ajax 6-2 on aggregate. It could have been more to be honest. Lyon were desperately short of ambition in the first leg, and were just desperately poor in the second.

From anon via text: "Re 2131: that's your worst pun ever Cheesy."
Aw thanks...

2134: Bayern Munich book a date at the Bernabeu on Saturday 22 May after a comprehensive win over a disappointing Lyon. It's the first time Bayern have reached the final since 2001 when they beat Valencia on penalties. Inter Milan are favourites to join them ahead of tomorrow's second leg at the Camp Nou. Barcelona trail 3-1 after the first leg.

2133: FULL-TIME Lyon 0-3 Bayern Munich [agg 0-4]

2131: Sidney Govou sets up Pjanic from long distance but the Lyon sub seemed to p(j)anic and blazed over. Up the other end, Hamit Altintop, who has been excellent tonight, breaks into the box, sidesteps the defender but then arrows a shot just over.

2127: Three minutes until the 90 and Bayern are calmly stroking the ball round in midfield... well, they were until they lost possession just then.

2125: The Lyon fans are making an unbelievable din, encouraged by a cheerleader with a megaphone. Incredible stuff.

Football League Danny: "Told you champagne opening (see 2120) was safe. Craig Westcarr makes it 3-0 to Notts County, Luke Rodgers makes it 4-0. Emphatic."

2122: Lisandro Lopez, who's had a miserable couple of games against Bayern, is replaced by Ederson. Lisandro looks heartbroken. David Alaba replaces Bastian Schweinsteiger for Bayern.

2120: Infostrada Sports tell me that Roy Makaay is the only other Bayern player to score a Champions League hat-trick. On 28 Sep 2004, the Dutch striker scored three goals against Ajax.

Football League Danny: "Accrington Stanley 1-0 Barnet - defeat will leave the Bees four points clear of second-bottom Grimsby with two games to go Not quite panic o'clock, but also not quite safe. Also, Mike Edwards has just made it 2-0 to Notts County at Darlington. Should be safe to open the champagne now, title-celebrating County-ites."

Bayern goal: There's the hat-trick. Philipp Lahm gets to the byeline and crosses for Ivica Olic, who steps back from his marker and gets enough power on his header to beat Hugo Lloris.

2118: GOALFLASH Lyon 0-3 Bayern Munich (Olic) [agg 0-4]

2116: Ivica Olic chests the ball down and prepares to shoot, but Jean Makoun is there to clear. Arjen Robben gets a rest, Miroslav Klose replaces him.

2114: Ivica Olic looking for his hat-trick but his touch lets him down and Jean-Alain Boumsong is across to cover.

2111: Arjen Robben goes for power this time, but Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris beats the shot away. A little under 20 minutes to go, but we may as well fast-forward, this game's over. Actually, can we fast-forward?

2110: Sidney Govou has decided to try to win it on his own. He brings the ball down beautifully to beat our old friend Holger Badstuber, but then instead of playing in Bafetimbi Gomis, he tries to beat another two defenders and gets crowded out.

Bayern goal: Stunning pass by Hamit Altintop allows Ivica Olic to score his second and surely wrap up this tie. That's Olic's sixth goal in the tournament, putting him one behind Cristiano Ronaldo and two behind top scorer Lionel Messi.

2107: GOALFLASH Lyon 0-2 Bayern Munich (Olic) [agg 0-3]

2102: Moments after Sidney Govou stings Hans-Jorg Butt's hands with a decent effort, Jean Makoun slides in wildly for a 50-50 with Hatim Altintop. Could have been nasty, but both players escape injury and Makoun escapes a yellow.

Red card
Lyon red card: Massimo Busacca has probably ended any slim hope Lyon had of a Champions League final. Cris wins the ball from Ivica Olic, but Busacca spots a foul - and a yellow card. The Lyon captain responds by sarcastically applauding the referee - and that's enough for Busacca to show a second yellow. All a bit ridiculous.

2100: RED CARD Lyon (Cris)

2057: With no-one closing him down, Arjen Robben has time to take a couple of touches and measure the shot. He goes for a left-foot (obviously) curler into the far corner, well-saved by Hugo Lloris. From the corner, Ivica Olic has a free header but doesn't quite connect with it.

From Will in Toulouse, via text: "If Lyon want any chance, they should try to recall on-loan striker Freddie Piquionne from Pompey for the last ten minutes. A master of the cup upset!"

2054: Arjen Robben finds Bastian Schweinsteiger about 25 yards out and the Germany midfielder doesn't even bother to take a touch. He strikes it sweetly on the volley but just over.

2051: Bafetimbi Gomis's first contribution is to blaze a volley over the bar after the ball floated over Diego Armando Contento's head.

2049: Some news: Charlton have given Liverpool permission to speak to midfielder Jonjo Shelvey over an initial £1.7m move to Anfield.

From anon via text: "University of Brighton students doing a live match report exam of tonight's game. Fingers crossed for no late goals!"

2045: A couple of changes at the start of the second half in Lyon. The hosts, who need three goals to get to the final, bring on £11m striker Bafetimbi Gomis for Aly Cissokho. Bayern Munich replace Daniel van Buyten, who was a doubt for the game, with Martin Demichelis, who was also a doubt for the game. It's a doubt-for-doubt change, if you like...

From Jon_Laughlin on Twitter: "As a United fan I'm gutted. If we had beaten Bayern we could have had an easy ticket to the final and then it's a one-off."

2039: Well, it seems Lyon are taking a bit of a beating on all fronts. No-one out there seems to want to defend them. Claude Puel's side are fifth in Ligue 1 at the moment, so I suppose at least we don't have to watch them again in the Champions League next season?

Football League Danny: "Danny's League Two recap. Accrington Stanley 0-0 Barnet - stalemate will leave Grimsby with a small hope of avoiding relegation at the Bees' expense. Darlington 0-1 Notts County. Darlo are already down, County will guarantee top spot tonight."

From boxy42 on 606: "Re 2022: Cheesy, I live in France and (unfortunately) have to watch Lyon play on a regular basis. This is NOT the team it was a few seasons ago (with Juninho, Tiago, etc..). Something tells me that Lady Luck got them to the semis, and even she has had enough now. Mind you, she's still smiling on Bayern..."

2032: While his football club namesake stumble towards a dispiriting defeat at the Stade Gerland, BBC Sport's Sam Lyon is watching Andy Murray play tennis in Rome. And he's winning.

2030: HALF-TIME Lyon 0-1 Bayern Munich [agg 0-2]

2027: Hamit Altintop shows two stunning pieces of skill in his own box to set up a Bayern attack. It ends when Arjen Robben drifts an inch offside just as Lyon are looking down the barrel.

From optajoe on Twitter: "The only French team to score three goals at home to Bayern in the CL in the 21st century are Lyon (in 2001)."

2022: Cesar Delgado cuts infield and spots Sidney Govou in plenty of space on the right, but overhits the pass in disastrous fashion. Is this nerves? Lyon are a better side than this, I'm sure of that.

Football League Danny: "Johnnie Jackson puts Notts County 1-0 up at Darlington. So, as it stands, County will be winning the League Two title this very evening."

2018: Uh-oh, Lyon fans must be holding their breath as Arjen Robben picks up the ball on the right and cuts in. Sure enough, the Dutchman unleashes the shot, but it flicks off the defender and goes wide. Hugo Lloris probably had it covered anyway. Robben doesn't even get the corner.

2015: Incredible miss. Sidney Govou crosses from the right for Michel Bastos, who sends a left-foot volley wide from all of six yards out. Atrocious, you might say.

From BigEggo on 606: "Lyon are atrocious."

Bayern goal: The visitors break down the left, Thomas Muller picks up the ball in the box, beats two defenders and cuts it back for Ivica Olic, who turns his marker before slotting past Hugo Lloris. Lyon need three goals... at least.

2011: GOALFLASH Lyon 0-1 Bayern Munich (Olic) [agg 0-2]

Yellow card
2008: Mark van Bommel throws himself into Maxime Gonalons as Bayern break, and referee Massimo Busacca brings out a yellow which means Gonalons will miss the final if Lyon get there. Very harsh. Shortly after, Hamit Altintop quickly follows Gonalons into the book for a trip on Sidney Givou.

Infostrada Sports on Twitter: "Bayern have conceded 9 goals in the first halves of this year's Champions League. Only Debreceni (12) have conceded more in the first half."

2003: Lyon defender Cris picks up the ball just inside his own half, looks up, and plays a long ball straight of play for a goal-kick to Bayern. Lyon, I think it's fair to say, are yet to get going.

2001: Promising move by Bayern as Mark van Bommel picks up the ball in the middle. Arjen Robben is in all sorts of space on the right, but MVB goes for the shot and hits the first defender. Oops.

1958: Daniel van Buyten lets out a scream as he gets a kick on the ankle from Lisandro. He's OK though.

1956: Cesar Delgado plays in a delicious cross from the left with the outside of his right foot, but again no-one on the end of it.

1954: Thomas Muller beats the keeper to a throw-in and spins a dangerous ball across the box, but there's no-one there to take advantage. Bayern look like they'll have plenty of chances tonight.

1952: Lyon have a corner and it's flicked on for Cris at the back post but the ball is just too high for him. Warning sign for Bayern though.

1950: Lyon hit two of the worst shots I have ever seen. Didn't see who the first one was, but the ball doesn't even reach the goal. The second is from Maxime Gonalons, again from long range and this time into the crowd.

1947: This tie could and should be all over. Ivica Olic robs Cris on the right and cuts the ball back for Thomas Muller. The ball is slightly behind him but Muller should still score, but somehow shoots wide of Hugo Lloris's left-hand post.

1946: Curses. Daniel van Buyten (least I got the 'van' right) commits the first foul, coming through the back of Lisandro on the halfway line.

1945: Lyon get us under way. I'm betting (metaphorically, of course) that Mark van Bommel is the first man to commit a foul.

1942: The Stade Gerland is absolutely rocking as the teams emerge from the tunnel. Lyon dangerman Lisandro Lopez looks a bit emotional as the Champions League anthem plays, and he is hugging his mascot for comfort. I know how he feels. What a tune.

1938: Speaking of tomorrow's biggie between Barcelona and Inter Milan. Jose Mourinho held his pre-match press conference this afternoon, and as ever, it was a cracker. He reckons Barcelona are "obsessed" with getting to the final because it's at the Bernabeu. "What I want to say to my players is to follow the dream, not make it an obsession, because for us this is a dream and not an obsession - for Barcelona it's not a dream, it's an obsession."

From LiamDD on Twitter: "This game is irrelevant anyway. Whoever wins between Barcelona and Inter will take the trophy."

From HibaMS on Twitter: "Doesn't the Lyon goalkeeper look cute in the picture on the front page of the BBC Sport website?"
I frown on such shallowness. (But yes... yes he does)

From Bryan, using L'Equipe website as French revision, via text: "This is Lyon's season, it's huge and one look at L'Equipe will show you how much it means. They won't sit back. Lyon to go through."

From Bendtner's finishing touch on 606: "This game wont be as boring as the first leg since Lyon have to go for a win. I certainly hope Lyon don't make it through. Bayern are a more entertaining side to watch."

Football League Danny: "Just the two matches in League Two tonight - but plenty at stake. Rock-bottom Darlington host promoted Notts County, with the Magpies knowing a win will secure the title. Elsewhere, Barnet are at Accrington Stanley - a win for the struggling Bees will secure their survival and will effectively relegate Grimsby (barring some kind of mathematical craziness)."

1920: That last 'tweet' is absolutely true. If Lyon win the Champions League, Rangers will have to go through two qualifying rounds instead of going into the group stage because Lyon have not qualified for the group stage via their position in Ligue 1. Make sense?

From Noelinho on Twitter: "I'm going for Bayern, as that gives Rangers an automatic spot in the Champions League next year."

1916: The last time I saw Holger Badstuber play, he was being turned inside-out by Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia, so I'm interested to see how he plays at centre-back. Incidentally, is it just me who can't say Badstuber without singing it to the tune of Goldfinger? Just me?

From jimbohammers on 606: "Lyon are very strong at home, I can see them winning but not progressing to the final. My prediction: Lyon 2-1 Bayern."

From cyberryan87 on Twitter: "Bayern will go through Caroline. Lyon looked impotent in Munich and it would be terrible if they made it to the Bernabeu."

Lyon welcome Jean-Alain Boumsong back into their defence as a replacement for the banned Jeremy Toulalan and there are three more changes from the first leg as Michel Bastos, Jean Makoun and Sidney Govou all start. Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis is only fit enough for the bench so Holger Badstuber plays at centre-back and Diego Contento continues at left-back. Meanwhile, captain Mark van Bommel and Hamit Altintop are included for a side missing the suspended Franck Ribery.

1907: TEAMS Lyon v Bayern Munich
Lyon: Lloris, Reveillere, Cris, Boumsong, Cissokho, Gonalons, Makoun, Govou, Delgado, Michel Bastos, Lopez. Subs: Vercoutre, Kallstrom, Pjanic, Ederson, Gomis, Anderson, Gassama.
Bayern Munich: Butt, Lahm, Van Buyten, Badstuber, Contento, Robben, Schweinsteiger, Van Bommel, Altintop, Muller, Olic. Subs: Rensing, Demichelis, Gorlitz, Klose, Alaba, Gomez.
Referee: Massimo Busacca (Switzerland)

1903: And against Lyon, Van Gaal's side face a team unbeaten at home in this season's Champions League, and who have won their last three at the Stade Gerland.

1900: Hello to you. Bayern Munich only need a goalless draw to reach their first Champions League final since 2001, but as Louis van Gaal noted: "We don't have a team to play for a goalless draw." And he's their manager, so he should know really.
