England and Wales' Euro 2012 qualifying fixtures will be decided by a random draw after the nations in Group G failed to agree on acceptable dates.

Manager Fabio Capello managed to agree England's schedule at a near five-hour meeting but Wales, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Switzerland failed to do so.

The Football Association of Wales confirmed: "All sides needed to be in agreement and this did not happen."

European football's governing body Uefa will make the draw in Israel next week.

The English Football Association is understood to be disappointed at the outcome but must now wait for the random draw to be made at the Uefa Congress in Tel Aviv.

Capello had agreed dates for all of England's fixtures, which included no matches to be played next June.

There are 14 places available alongside the co-hosts Poland and Ukraine for the tournament which runs from 8 June to 1 July, 2012.

The nine group winners qualify for the tournament with the runner-up with the best overall record.

The eight other runners-up will then face play-offs over two legs in November 2011.

Poland and Ukraine will be only the third co-hosts of the European Championship, following in the footsteps of Belgium and the Netherlands in 2000 and Austria and Switzerland in 2008.
