Pilgrims sign Capaldi
Plymouth Argyle have completed the signing of Birmingham City winger Tony Capaldi.

The 21 year-old has signed a two-year deal at Homes Park after impressing Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock during a recent loan spell

"We're very pleased," Sturrock told Plymouth's official website. "He's only 21 and everyone can see he has great potential.

"He's got a great left foot, his set-pieces are very good, he sees a pass, he's got a long throw and he's my type of player."

Capaldi also expressed his delight at the chance to play regular first-team football.

He said: "I've played a few too many games in the reserves and I'm looking to get a couple of first-team seasons under my belt and take it from there.

"It's a really promising club with a big future."

Meanwhile, Plymouth have dismissed speculation linking them with a move for Northampton Town's attacking midfielder Chris Hargreaves.

The 30-year-old has a year to run on his current deal with The Cobblers, but has been linked with a move away from the club following their relegation from Nationwide Division Two.

But BBC Sport has learned that, although Sturrock is on the look out for more new faces, Hargreaves is not currently under consideration.
