Danielle Wyatt says England have a good chance of retaining their World Twenty20 title when the tournament gets under way in the West Indies in May.

England hosted and won the event in 2009, beating New Zealand in the final.

"It should be a good test, but everyone's in good form and we're all excited," Wyatt told BBC Radio Stoke.

Wyatt will be taking part in her first major tournament, having made her one-day international debut for England during the tour of India in March.

The tournament begins on 5 May, with England drawn in the same group as Australia, South Africa and the hosts.

All of the group matches will be played in St. Kitts, with the semi-finals being held in St. Lucia and the final being staged in Barbados on 16 May.

"To be involved in this at the age of 18 is something special and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it," added Wyatt.

"I didn't think I would play in any games in India, but I got picked for the last one-day game and did well, and then got picked for the Twenty20 games.

"Claire Taylor, Sarah Taylor and Holly Colvin are all back, so I probably won't play in any games in the West Indies, but if I do I've just got to take the chance like I did in Mumbai."

The squad flew to the Caribbean on Tuesday and will play warm-up matches against India and Sri Lanka before their first match against Australia.
