Scotland's McIntosh wins rifle gold

Scotland enjoyed a day of double success in the shooting with Jen McIntosh and men's pair Neil Stirton and Jon Hammond winning their events.

McIntosh won the 50m rifle prone in a Games record score of 597-42x, breaking Carolyn Quigley's record of 590 points, set in 1998.

Wales's Johanne Brekke came third as McIntosh added the individual gold to her success in Monday's pairs event.

Stirton and Hammond took the gold in the men's 50m rifle prone pairs event.

"It's absolutely fantastic," said McIntosh.

"I'm very happy. My heart rate was very fast. How I managed I don't know."

McIntosh and Hammond have both won three medals at the Games so far.

Elsewhere, hosts India took gold in the women's 10m air pistol pairs event, through Heena Sidhu and Annu Raj Singh.
