Name: Chris Boardman
Age: 33
Claim to fame: Olympic gold 1992 (pursuit) and former Tour de France yellow jersey wearer.
Favoured event: Archery
Not competing in: 100m, Mountain bike
Tip for the top: Austin Healey - 'he's very keen'

Described by host John Inverdale as one of the two favourites for the title of Superstar, Boardman is reckoned to be the darkhorse for the two days of competition.

The former world class cyclist admits that he does as he pleases these days, picking the jobs that suit him.

Although he fancies himself as a good shot in the archery, he also admitted that he did spend some of his childhood in the water.

"The type of events aren 't really suited to me, but I'm having a good time.

"I do remember the last Superstars, but more for the entertainment than anything else.

"I remember all the Brian Jacks merchandise - the bullworker, the weightbelt and of course the perm and the evil stare."
