The ageing home of rugby union, once a market garden, has hosted internationals since 1910 and is now in need of further redevelopment despite a five-year rebuilding programme.

It has proved something of a fortress for England over the years.

The last time England were beaten there was in the pool stages of 1999 World Cup, losing to New Zealand.
