Mark Williams, the world number one and world champion, is probably the best single-ball potter that I’ve ever seen.

He’s certainly unorthodox in the way he goes about things . You wouldn’t call it a classic textbook cue action, but what you can say about him is he has an absolutely fabulous touch and a wonderful long game.

He’s a better safety player than people give him credit for and an all-round really good player. He will have a fantastic chance at Sheffield.
