Video  Video - John Parrott's analysis
Ken Doherty has probably been the best player in the world for the last few months.

He won back-to-back ranking events. He won the Welsh Open, beating Paul Hunter 9-2 in the final, and then beat Stephen Hendry 9-3 in Thailand.

He’s an excellent all-round match player and is very clever. He sets lots of traps for his opponents and gets a lot of opportunities off those.

He’s started to score heavier than he has for a while, which has been the big difference in him winning more events. He is going to be an absolute handful for any player in this tournament.
