Burkina Faso are the underdogs in what looks like the toughest group of the tournament. But their philosophical coach Oscar Fullone won't see that as a disadvantage. The recently appointed Argentine takes up his first national post in Africa after taking Asec Abidjan and Raja Casablanca to successive African Champions League titles. But how that experience will translate when his locally-based players come up against European stars remains a big question. He is not helped by Burkina's overseas contingent being depleted because of a revolt over unpaid allowances. An injury to Mamadou Zongo threatens to weaken the side further. It is hard to imagine the trophy heading to Ouagadougou.
