Mohali
1st Test, from 3 December
Mohali is just outside the city of Chandigarh in the northern state of Punjab, which has a border with Pakistan.
Expect a lot of cheering when Harbhajan Singh takes the field - as he's from these parts. But Mohali is one of the few grounds in India more suitable for seamers.
The 19th and most recent addition to the Test rota, it features a perimeter moat and a lush, green outfield.
In the first Test played at Mohali, in 1994-5, the West Indies seamer Kenneth Benjamin claimed 5-65 as India were skittled for 114 on second innings and the tourists won by 243 runs.
In October 1999, a peculiar Test was played when India batted first and were dismissed for just 83 by New Zealand (Dion Nash took 6-27).
But when they rallied to hit 505-3 declared in the second innings, thanks to centuries by Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, they very nearly won the match - the Kiwis clinging on for a draw.
