Tyson's early days
Tyson stuns the world by becoming the youngest world heavyweight champion with a second round knockout of Trevor Berbick.

The new champion drops Canadian Berbick twice in a very one-sided contest. American commentator Barry Tompkins announces that Tyson has ushered in a ‘new era in boxing’.

Lewis continues his amateur career after performing courageously for Canada in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and he captures the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Did you know?
Despite winning the world title, Tyson was not a prolific amateur boxer. He turned professional shortly after failing to qualify for the 1984 Olympics.
