Hull KR have made Australian prop Ryan Tandy their fifth mid-season signing after Paul Cooke, Mark Lennon, Danny Hill and Ian Hardman.
The 25-year-old has joined the club until the end of season from National League club Doncaster.
"I'm really keen to have a shot at Super League," said Tandy, who has a Birmingham-born father and so does not count on the club's overseas quota.
"I'm looking forward to showing what I'm capable of in this exciting time."
Tandy has spent the last three years in England, initially with Whitehaven, and was in the Widnes team which lost to Hull KR in the Super League promotion decider last October.
"Ryan is a welcome addition to the team and is a very good player who possesses the ability to cause havoc on the field," said coach Justin Morgan.
Although Morgan has been boosting his squad, Hill and Hardman's loan spells at Hull KR end this week.
