Le Guen hopes Burke will stay on

Paul Le Guen Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has stated his desire to keep winger Chris Burke at Ibrox.

Burke's contract talks with the club stalled this week and he is free to talk to other clubs in January, but Le Guen hopes it will not come to that.

"I think he wants to stay and to carry on with Rangers, he is a very important player for us but it is up to him to decide," he said.

"We have made efforts to keep him, he likes the club so I am still hopeful."
