BBC News Video Ticker

The BBC News Video Ticker allows you display the latest world headlines on your desktop. Clicking on the scrolling headline to launch a high quality (broadband) video clip within the RealOne Player. Our video news service is produced around the clock by a team of specialist journalists, drawing on our worldwide network of correspondents in more than 40 countries.



Minimum System Requirements:

  • 300MHz Intel Pentium III processor or equivalent
  • 128MB of RAM
  • 65,000-color video display card set to display at 1024x768 pixels or higher
  • Windows 98SE or above, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
  • RealNetworks RealOne Player with RealOne SuperPass membership or BBC News membership
The BBC News Video Ticker is designed for international users as part of the BBC News on RealOne service, and is not available in the UK. BBC News has developed this subscription service with RealNetworks in order to satisfy demand for high quality video news from users outside the UK.

Click on the button below to download the BBC News Video Ticker. You should choose to either "Save" or "Open" the installation program. If you "Save", double click on the installation program to proceed.



Follow the prompts on-screen to install. Please read the licence and installation instructions carefully. When installed, a program group is then available under your "Start" menu called "BBC News Video Ticker". You can run the program, view usage instructions and uninstall the program from within this program group.
