Treating young 'Friday night drunks' in A&E

Doctors are warning of the growing impact of alcohol on young people's health. Official figures show a quarter of the adult population drinks too much and alcoholic liver disease in the under 30s is rising significantly.

Panorama spent a busy Friday night in A&E at the Royal Liverpool Hospital as staff battle with a seemingly never-ending stream of drunk patients.

Panorama: Dying for a Drink, BBC One, Monday, 1 August at 2030 BST and then available in the UK on the BBC iPlayer.
