Coping with dementia - useful websites

The organisations below have information on coping with dementia.

Alzheimer's Society

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Staff and volunteers provide both local information and over 2,000 services to people affected by dementia in their communities. Their local services include day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help partners and families cope with the demands of caring.

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland helps people with dementia, their carers and families. Their members include carers, relatives, people with dementia, professionals, groups and organisations.

Dementia UK is a national charity committed to improving quality of life for all people affected by dementia. Their services include:

Carers UK is the voice of carers. Carers UK improves carers' lives in a number of ways, including campaigning for the changes that make a real difference for carers and providing information and advice to carers about their rights and how to get support.
