The end of East and West Germany?

BBC News' Gavin Hewitt reported for Panorama from Berlin in November 1989 on the fall of the Wall that saw people pass openly between East and West for the first time in a generation.

Here, he examines what the dramatic events meant for East Germany and whether exposure to Western society would lead to questions about the very existence of East Germany itself.
