What is Twitter?

Panorama Twitter page
Follow Panorama on Twitter for the latest on the programme

Twitter is an online service for letting people know what you're up to at any time of day or night.

It also allows you to keep track of what other people are doing as well, either by monitoring their Twitter updates online, or by receiving updates directly to your phone in the form of SMS text messages.

Panorama have started using this online service as another means to provide you with the latest information on the programme in a way that suits you.

Twitter allows us to send out simple alerts about upcoming shows, programme and website highlights, as well as last minute schedule changes.

Currently, Panorama is sending out alerts throughout the week. To automatically receive these updates, you'll need to create your own Twitter account and then sign up to "follow" our account.

Remember, in signing up to Twitter you are connecting with an online community whose members are all keen to let others know what they're up to.

That's why wherever possible we'll include direct links to Panorama's video, text, pictures and analysis on BBC online.
