T in the Park lovers tend to arrive on the Thursday so they can pitch up, relax and really get in the mood for a weekend of mayhem.
The first act won't appear on stage until 6pm on the Friday so there's a whole day where people have nothing in particular to do.
So why not dress up? The festival are slowly introducing the tradition of Fancy Dress Friday.
Not everyone takes part like you see at Bestival on a Saturday but the ones that do make a big effort.
There's a prize for the person Lady T, the official judge, decides is wearing the best outfit.
So Newsbeat thought why not take a little walk around the campsite and see if we could spot a winner?

First up is a man in a wedding dress. He's called Adrian Morris and has come up from Nottingham.
He said: "This is a tribute to Madonna in the 80s, complete with my blonde wig, I just need to adopt a child now."
Moving on, Newsbeat heads past the clothes stalls where people are trying on hats which will probably get lost within a few hours.
It's there we spot three girls with plastic backpacks on. When they spin around and show us their water pistols it becomes clear they've come as the Ghostbusters.
Emma, Faye and Sophie from Middlesbrough put a lot of thought into these outfits: "We've got like builders suits with brown spray paint on and a water gun with water in it. We've been squirting people."
Not us please, we're working.
'Swine flu'
Farther into the campsite, either two lads are fumigating their tent or they too are joining in Fancy Dress Friday.
John and Ali are both 19 and from Livingstone. They clearly keep up to date with current affairs.
With a cheeky grin on their faces they say: "We're protecting ourselves from swine flu with white dust suits, masks and minted wellies.

"We're terrified about swine flu. It shakes us to the core."
Newsbeat bumps into the Flintstones next. Yes - Wilma, Betty, Pebble, Fred and Barney.
Those behind the outfits are actually all related and from Glasgow. They seem excited wearing the costumes now but promise: "We're not going to stay dressed like this all weekend.
"The wigs kill you. Honestly, my head's burning," screams Betty, aka Carrie, a T in the Park virgin.
There are a number of hula skirts on display but Graham and Jamie impressed Newsbeat the most: "We're Hawaiian girls. We thought the bras suited us so we went for it.
"The girls keep chasing us and everyone else is looking at us weirdly."
As Newsbeat heads back to base we're confronted by a lad giving away free kisses.
Bruce McArthur from Aberdour has just put on his kissing booth outfit.
"It's red and says kiss booth and it's free today. I've had no success yet," he says.
Good luck Bruce, give it a few hours and a few more cans. However, we're giving him less than an hour before he gets annoyed with it.
So who's our winner? Well for originality and quite frankly practicality, it's got to be the swine flu boys.
