Killers tour sells out in hours

Tickets for next year's Killers UK tour sold out in two and a half hours when they went on sale on Friday morning.

The band are playing nine venues starting with two dates at London's O2 Arena on 23 and 24 February.

The 150,000 tickets to see the Las Vegas group went on sale at 10am and were all snapped up by 12.30pm.

The Killers are also playing a one-off concert for Radio 1 at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 3 November ahead of the release of their third studio album.

The gig will be broadcast live on Zane Lowe's show with Day & Age out three weeks later on 24 November.

Their UK tour also takes in dates at arenas in Birmingham (26), Cardiff (28), Sheffield (March 2) , Nottingham (3), Aberdeen (5), Glasgow (6), Newcastle (7) and Manchester (9 & 10).

The Killers played the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
