Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Live is back on TV on 24 October, with the chef teaching viewers how to whip up a tasty three-course meal in real time.
Newsbeat's Natalie Jamieson joined Ramsay in the kitchen to get his verdict on her egg-making expertise, and ask about the new series.
So, Gordon, did my scrambled eggs make the grade?
Impressive - nice texture - which was lovely. Obviously a lady who spends time in the kitchen. I could quite easily serve that for breakfast this morning, upstairs in the restaurant.
Fantastic - what did I do right?
You were in control of it. Making scrambled eggs is like cooking a risotto - there's a beginning and an end. You took it off at the right time, nicely seasoned - we had a little taste earlier - and more importantly it looks good. And if something looks good it's going to taste brilliant.
Why do you want to do more Cookalongs?
The long-winded stuffy dinner party has gone, that's pretty evident. I wanted to remove the snob factor. I want to inject a bit of fun... removing the intimidation. Everyone thinks, 'Oh, three Michelin stars, I can't replicate that'. Yes, you can. I didn't start cooking three Michelin star food at the age of 19, I started [by] watching my mum, so of course I've evolved, but I want to show you how I cook now 20 years later.
Last time you did the Cookalong I joined in at my house, but we ended up breaking a bottle of wine and setting the smoke alarm off. It tasted delicious, though.
Oh god, Channel 4 have said, 'Look, no flambés, because we're gonna have every fire brigade across the country on standby'. So I'm gonna keep it really simple, but proper stuff - we're doing a curry night, a Chinese night, Thai, we're doing a credit crunch dinner where I'm gonna prove that we can eat for under a tenner, four of us, and in today's climate that's crucial.
I assume you'll be doing a vegetarian option for each one as well?
"Hugh Hefner invited me round [to cook], but I don't think that will sit very well with Tana"
We'll definitely, definitely not be doing a vegetarian option, we'll be glamorising vegetarians in terms of putting alternatives on there but, honestly, along the hour it goes quickly, you'd be surprised. We have vegetarian menus in all our restaurants, my gripe was never against the vegetarians, I was just trying to move things on a bit and become a little bit more exciting with veg. My frustration years ago was against chefs, how they don't cook for vegetarians.
Have you got celebrities lined up for the rest of the series?
We're just picking and choosing now. I need someone to be a little bit faster than Chris Moyles [who cooked with Ramsay on the previous Cookalong], which I don't think's going to be difficult! But Sophie, his partner, has told me that he has got better, he's spending less time in the takeaways - it's only six days a week takeaway now, and one day at home.
Will you be cooking with your friend Victoria Beckham at all?
If Victoria's over at the time, I'm sure. I'm just trying to think what I'd cook with her in the kitchen though, and if anything kicked off how would she handle it - it would be fascinating. She made cakes once for me, she said they were scones, I said they were like rock cakes. So I put them out in the garden and I think they're still there.
How's it going in Los Angeles?
We spent August there, the kids had a fabulous time. The restaurant's kicked off brilliantly there - it's fantastic, 'cause no one eats anything, one piece of asparagus for a table of six! Honestly, 90% of the customers are foodies and the California produce is extraordinary. Coming to eat at the London West Hollywood isn't about doing a pick and mix, you know, it's proper food cooked brilliantly and it's there for your fun.
What A-listers have you had in the restaurant?
We've had Sacha Baron Cohen, we've had Keanu Reeves, David and Victoria, we've had all sorts. It's a really chic place and it's just so nice to have a bit of British in LA. It's nice to put a stake in the ground - we have a good reputation for food in this country, so why not shout it from the rooftops? We can come up with the most amazing salads, it's not all doom and gloom.
Has anyone asked you to cater for their own private dinner parties yet?
Hugh Hefner invited me round [to cook], but I don't think that will sit very well with Tana (Gordon's wife).
Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong starts on Channel 4 at 9pm on Friday 24 October.
