Gordon Brown's shaping up for a new look with a personal trainer this summer and now his website's had a revamp too.

On the new look Number 10 website you can watch live content and videos of what PM Gordon Brown is getting up to.

Number 10.gov.uk is an online channel which will host a "dedicated multimedia player with a library of films about the PM and his activities that will be frequently updated".

It will, for the first time, provide live streaming of Prime Minister's questions, and the regular press briefings held at Downing Street.

Any important statements from the Prime Minister to Parliament will also be able to be viewed live on the site.

A Number 10 spokesman told Newsbeat the reason behind the online makeover was to "boost the amount of video content on the website".

More video content

In the coming months we can also expect behind the scenes style videos of some of the Prime Minister's visits.

But the spokesman denied the new look was a response to "webcameron", the site run by Tory leader David Cameron which regularly features behind the scenes video content.

He also denied that this was part of a drive to win more support while Gordon Brown's trails in the polls.

The spokesman said the redesign had been in the pipeline for some time.

He said: "It's had the same design since 2003 and was lacking the functionality of current sites."

As well as watching more of what the PM gets up to, the site promises to make it easier to communicate with him.

You can post YouTube style questions for him to answer and also sign up for a new email newsletter sent out by Gordon Brown on "topical themes and developments".
