Apple announce new iPhone update

Apple
The new system update was announced in Cupertino, California on Tuesday

Apple has announced new improvements for the iPhone.

The move comes after criticism that the most recent version wasn't doing basic things that other mobiles can.

The software, which is set to be released to iPhone users in a few months, will allow the phone to send picture messages and copy and paste text.

A new tool called Spotlight will also let users search applications like email and music.

There's no news yet on when a new version of the iPhone might be released, however, although some are suggesting it could be as early as this summer.
