A British company has unveiled a car powered by hydrogen, alongside a home refuelling system. It can produce hydrogen from water and electricity. The car can travel 25 miles on a single recharge.
ITM chose to re-model the Ford Focus to run on hydrogen as it's Europe's top selling car. Vans and trucks will also be capable of using the new fuel system in the future.
The car can also use hydrogen produced by solar power. Once converted, the car is effectively a bi-fuel vehicle, so it can also run on petrol if hydrogen supplies run out.
