Pete Doherty has announced plans to head out on a solo tour of the UK.

The Babyshambles front man will be hitting the road for four dates in small venues starting at Bournemouth Opera House on 24 September.

He will play further shows at Middlesbrough Town Hall the following day, Coventry Kasbah on 26 September and The Ritz in Manchester on 3 October.

Doherty will also appear with Mark Ronson at London Matter on 11 October.

The singer recently made a solo appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in July.

Earlier this year, he also served 29 days in prison for drug and driving offences

He is currently working on material for his first solo album.
