Arctic Monkeys confirm LP release

Arctic Monkeys' third album is released on 24 August

Arctic Monkeys have revealed their forthcoming third album will be released on 24 August.

The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2007's Favourite Worst Nightmare is released five days before the band headline this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals.

The LP was part-produced by Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme.

It was recorded throughout 2008 and 2009 in a number of locations including the Mojave Desert, Los Angeles and New York.
