In pictures: Fans rate Eminem record

Newsbeat hit the streets of NY to find out what people think of Eminem's album. New Yorker AJ, 18, said: "He's coming out strong. Now is good, but I like his older work better. He's still the man."

Audible Dr

Audible Dr works at Fat Beats record store in New York. He said: "Nobody can deny the dude can rhyme. The production is good, I was just hoping for something a bit more groundbreaking."

DJ Artform

DJ Artform, from Alabama, told Newsbeat: "To a lot of people he's got skills but to me.... his style is not relevant. I wouldn't even want to bother listening. If it came on the radio I'd probably turn it off."

Clark Slater

Clark Slater, 18, from New York, said: "I feel like he's fallen off a little bit. It sounds a little too 'poppy'. The video for We Made You was pretty silly... I liked more the serious Eminem I heard before."

Melissa and friend

Melissa [left] is from New York. She told Newsbeat: "I really like it. He's always been good. His originality, his lyrics, his creativity. As an individual he is unique."
